Angle Drive Kit

The Angle Drive Kit

When building the orange pickup we couldn't find a suitable way to make the distributor work, so we had to come up with something on our own. The kit were designed by us at Moe's Suzuki Service, and with help from the local mechanical shop the kit got produced.

  • The first generation kit is basicly the prototype one used in our orange pickup.
  • The second generation (was the first generation to be sold to customers. The gen. 2 kit got a smaller adapter plate than the ret, and the distributor points to the right side of the engine.
  • The third generation kit was made so you can choose witch way the distributor will point towards.
  • The fourth generation is basicly a extension of the third generation.

All our angle drive kits got its own serial number.

Why use the Distributor angle drive kit when installing a G13b engine in a Samurai/SJ?

When you are using a Swift GTi (G13b) engine in a samurai/SJ you'll get problems with the original G13b distributor hitting the firewall. Many people says that distributor caps from Mazda 323, saab ect. will solve the problem, and in many cases it probably will, if you moddify the firewall og rebuilds the distributor cap.
We found this a bad solution, so we produced our own Angle Drive Kit.

On the MK 2/3 G13b you'll still need to use the same parts with the kit as the MK 1, but you need some additional parts and modify the G13a distributor internals. Installation manual are included.
